The Battle

I never knew it would be so hard to quit a habit as it has been to quit cigarettes.  I am a little down on myself, because I have slipped and had a few cigarettes here and there.  So I haven't totally quit, but I definitely have cut back a lot, almost totally.

The vapor pen has been very helpful with the cravings, especially now that I found a flavor I somewhat like, and got a juice with a higher nicotine level.  I have gone from smoking a pack per day to smoking maybe 2 cigarettes per day.  Don't get me wrong, that is a great accomplishment, but for me it's not good enough.

I am determined not to buy another pack of cigarettes ever again, and I hope that I stick with that.  One positive thing is that the taste of a cigarette is totally disgusting to me now.  I also notice that other things taste different as well.  I used to love coffee, but now, really can't even stand to drink it because of the taste.

I am stronger than this little stick that I feel the need to burn at times.  I am just going to keep telling myself this.  If I can do it with all the stress I have in my life, you can surely do it too.

Good morning.... quitting smoking update

Good morning, wishing each of you a very blessed day.  This morning was an early morning for us, as it takes the kids a while to get used to the change in time (daylight savings).  Also Damian was up with a stomach ache pretty early and is home from school for the day.

I am sitting here battling my want (because I don't need) for a cigarette.  I am using the vape pen a lot and just trying to keep myself occupied and busy.

I think I am doing pretty good.  I just feel like I can't think straight and I am really tired.  I made me some hot tea, going to fill up my pen, and find something to do.

1 day 14 hours and 15 seconds smoke free

$14.93 saved on smoking

28 cigarettes avoided

Quitting Smoking & Vaping

A week ago today, my love and I went to a local vapor outlet store a short walk from our house.  We both had decided to quit smoking cigarettes, and try the use of an electronic cigarette, ie: vape pen.  We both got our own setups and some different flavored juices.  My love went with a stronger mg of nicotine, and I went with the lowest containing nicotine.  We both love it.  He hasn't really smoked more than 1 cigarette per day since last Sunday (which is amazing considering he was a pack to pack and 1/2 per day).  I on the other hand have still been smoking cigarettes, but cut down a lot.  I have gone from a pack a day to maybe 3 cigarettes per day.  Although today is my first official day with no cigarettes.  I have none, no butts in the ash tray, and no money to even buy any, so what better time than now, to just quit the cigarettes all together.

I am feeling the need to smoke a cigarette right now, but just fighting it with the help of my vape pen and juice, (if I could find a flavor that is actually satisfying right now, lol

I will do my best to share in this journey.  I will let you know how it goes for him and for me.  He is doing amazing, and me, I hope to do amazing too.

Welcome, Thank you for coming.

I am back and ready to roll with this blog writing thing.  I am not sure in what direction I am going, but we will take that journey together.

So much has happened in my life since the last time I posted an entry.  Life is great in so many ways.  I have found that one person out there that God created just for me.  We have a home, happy kids, and are even on the road to possibly gaining answers about my son's disability.

I am still new to the whole blog writing thing, but I am going to try and do my best with it.

Here we go... thank you for coming!
